This Website is designed to provide the public with convenient
access to large databases that show patterns of social and economic
disparity among local communities or regions. Data can be searched by
individual lenders, or all lenders combined.
Public users will be able to monitor and assess such patterns of geographic
disparity by means of data tables or maps. The underlying goal of the
Website is to encourage private and public actions that will reduce
the degree of underservice or disadvantage encountered by various local
communities or regions.
The
databases used in this Website must have records that identify some
type of local geographic unit, such as a census tract, zip code, township,
or county. The first data incorporated into this Website is the housing
loan database assembled by federal agencies pursuant to the Home Mortgage
Disclosure Act. This database identifies the census tract location of
almost every housing loan and housing loan application made in the United
States each year.
GSE Data is now available here.
